Anti-discrimination Experts
European network of independent legal experts in the non-discrimination field
The Migration Policy Group and Human European Consultancy have established and manage, for the European Commission, a Network of independent legal experts in the non-discrimination field that provides independent information and advice on the implementation of the Article 13 anti-discrimination Directives in all 25 Member States. Cooperation with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders may facilitate the expeditious and timely gathering of information on developments in law and policies. It facilitates dialogue on how these developments are to be interpreted (in conformity with Community law or not) and how certain legal problems can be best addressed. The quality of the information is crucially important for the proper implementation of the EC directives. The network, 25 country experts for each EU Member State, is run by a management team led by Human European Consultancy and the Migration Policy Group and consisting of a scientific Board of Directors and five ground coordinators each covering one discrimination ground DocumentsWhat we do - 31 July 2005Management team: - 31 July 2005 Previous groups of independent experts - 31 July 2005 The country experts - 31 July 2005 NewsLegal seminar - 20 February 2007Law Review No.4 at Equality Summit - 30 January 2007 PublicationsCatalysts for Change: Equality Bodies according to Directive 2000/43/EC - 16 October 2007Beyond Formal Equality - 5 July 2007 Measuring Discrimination - 20 February 2007 Religion and Belief - 20 February 2007 Comparative Analysis II - 19 February 2007 |
